AND EVA FERNÁNDEZ
Hello!Good afternoon. I´m Antonio and they are Eva Moreno and
Eva Fernández. We are going to talk about our voluntary work
with the Little Sisters of Poor.
This is the index and you can see the different
points that we are going to talk about.
The residence is very big. There are many rooms. There are seventy
single rooms with bathrooms. The men rooms are on the left and
the woman rooms are on the right. There are a very big dinning room where
the old people eat every day .Here you can see a photo.
On the ground floor there are many rooms. There is a library where they read
newspaper or different books every day.Near the entrance there is
a auditorium where they see videos or different performances like theatre.
There is a cafetery where they have breakfast every day.
Here you can see two photos and there is a beautiful chapel.
But there are more rooms like a hairdreseer´s or laundry and lots of garden.
We think that Christmas is very important for lots of people, meeting friends and family .However, some people haven´t got family or someone who goes to visit them. Also we haven´t got exams or homework. In conclusion, we think that this moment is one of the best to volunter.
Some problems are that the little sisters don't have WhatsApp
and it's more difficult to contact them.
This part isn´t prepared at all.We are going to sing christmas
carols or prepared some activities related to christmas.
We are going to go to La Cañada,It is a shopping centre in Marbella,
to collect money and food for the Little Sisters of Poor.We are going to
prepare some crafts with papers an other things.
It doesn't cost anything, but we have to put money we would be
willing to pay for anything.
We are very satisfied with the project because in
this project we help the little sisters to collect food.

Hi, we’re Ana and Paula and we’re going to talk about our volunteering with Ayuca.
For this project we’re doing a volunteering alongside the Ayuca association to help raise funds to fund aid for the people in the association
I think it is worth it because at this time of year is when they’re most busy since it’s Christmas
Our main objective is to help in all we can to raise funds
The funds we raise with our help will be destined for people who suffer cancer.
As we don’t know for sure what we’re going to help with, we also don’t know who will do what, but we will try to participate equally in all activities.
The project will last 10 hours, which will be spread in several days.
It will cost nothing, although if we finally decide to take part in the christmas meal we will have to buy the ingredients, which I don’t think they cost more than 5 euros.
Our project will be tracked by conversations with the teacher and with the social worker.
If they propose us to go back and do another volunteering, we will know that our work has been successful, and also if they are grateful for our help.
For this project we’re doing a volunteering alongside the Ayuca association to help raise funds to fund aid for the people in the association
They get different types of help, like for example
psychological help from a professional, money for transport and accomodation, workshops for the patients and they offer them wigs
When we're face to face with a cancer patient and they tell us their story, we'll probably get emotional.
Another problem that we can face is the stress of serving snacks to many people
Some of the activities that have been proposed to us are: meal with roscon de reyes, christmas meal, workshops for the children and a charity run.

Hello, we´re Nicolas,Varo,Jorge,David, and Punti, and we are going to explain you what are we going to do in our volunteering project in Asprodisis.
Asprodisis is a nonprofit organism located in Ronda, Málaga, Spain, whose mission is to defend the rights and improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disability and their families, always oriented by the values of social integration and normalization.
Asprodisis works in a lot of projects:
-early attention:they help children with diseases
-family support service
-residence for severely affected people
-etc
Mainly, you have to know the importance of families and you have to see the disabled people as a person of duties and rights.
The activities that we thought we could do there are:
-Darts workshop
-Evironment workshop, where we would teach them the importance of taking care of it
-An english class
-If we had some time remaining, we would do some outdoors games
What we hope by doing all these activities is to make them learn many things and enjoy with us!

-etc
The volunteering service in Asprodisis is very fullfiling. The main advantages are:
-You decide at what time you volunteer
-You will get sensitivity on the collective of people with intellectual disability
-You will create a nexus of union between people with intellectual disability
and the society
and the society
-Darts workshop
-Evironment workshop, where we would teach them the importance of taking care of it

ANA, DAYANA
AND MARIANA
Hello, in this project, we talk about our first experience with voluntary work.
After that, we told our first impressions of the people, our feelings about that experience and how we thought to solve that.
Then, we described the center we were about to work at, including all the members in it and what was at the place, like the office or the timetable.
After that, we explained our biggestfeelings and the deep conmotion we had and some of the troubles we would have. Also, we described our planning for the next time we'll be there.
And we ended up saying what we are expecting for the next time, closing up the exposition with our motivationfor the work we'll do.
PROJECT BY...
CONSUELO CASTRO, LUCÍA GONZÁLEZ,
AND LAURA GIL
These are the points we are going to work on.
We will do this volunteering at Christmas, so it will be the best time to do this.

It offers help to all kinds of people that suffer from cancer, whether men, women or children. they are visited by people of any age, no matter how young or old they are.
We will do several activities:
We will help in the solidarity snacks and in the traditional kings cake.
We will look for the proposal individually and we will communicate them. At the events we will work together but in different sectors.
The Volunteering will take a total of 10 hours.

We will spend 5 € in the preparation of a cake.
We will follow the progress through lucia a social worker, who will inform us about the tasks we have to do.
We will know if we have done a good job if the association will call us again and if the people for whom we have worked are satisfied and happy.
LORENA, ANDREA,
CARMEN AND LAURA
Hello everyone! We are Laura, Lorena, Carmen y Andrea. We present the association where we are that is AYUCA.
This project consists of volunteering in an association with people with cancer and family members of the
round and the mountains, to make their disease easier. The teacher has helped us get into it, and thus be able
to explain what this association consists of.
If it is important to do this job now since we are volunteering in this association to help people with cancer.
Now we are going to teach what it is.
This association offers resources such as psychological care, social care, hospital and home support and many workshops for children and adults.
trying better the quality of life of all people who have this disease from an external point of view.
We think that the population is not aware of cancer, it is still a taboo subject.
There is an important need for information to people. We believe that without this matter you have not had it in a close relative, you do not give it so much importance.

Project by Ana Gil
and Rafaella Martins
Once,
our teacher suggested us to do voluntary work. After thinking a lot
about it, we thought to choose Asprodisis
Asprodisis:
What it’s? It’s a organization with the point of help people with
a mental disability and integrate them totally in society.
Integration
and social normalization of people with mental disabilities and their
families. Serves people with intellectual disabilities in Ronda and
its region.

-
The consideration of the person with intellectual disability as a
subject of rights and duties
-The
importance of families
-The
quality of the operations of all our deals and services
-The
interest for all people with intellectual disabilities
-The
ethical commitment in all actions
As
my friend said, they help people with intellectual disabilities and
their families.
Well,
our project plan consist basically on treat with children and make
some interactive games that we gonna explain in then next
transparency.
Like
we spoke before, our project involve few funny games:
Imitate
a photo: We show a child a picture that he / she has to imitate and
other children guess what he / she is imitating.
The
managerial: We choose a managerial and we give the other children a
pencil and paper. The managerial has to give orders to the other
children to draw what he has thought. In the end, they will have to
show their drawings to see which one looks the most.
Freeze:
We will put a song and the children have to run or walk during this
time around the room. When the song stops, they “freeze” and they
have to hold that position until the music plays again.
Continue
drawing: We put music in the background and invite children to draw
something. After a short period of time, the music stops and the
drawing must be passed to the right or to the left so that his
companions/teammate continue drawing. The game ends when the drawing
returns to its original artist.
Do
you know what is it in English? Of course, they also will learn
english. We will show photos or pictures and we will ask if they know
how it is called in English.
Crab
race: The teams are placed in pairs in a single file. The first ones
of each row are tied the ankles with a cord or a handkerchief. They
run in this way until they reach the goal. The ankles are untied and
the handkerchief is given to the next couple. Win the team that ends
earlier.
Obviously,
this plan has some advantages, like:
It’s
enjoyable, for us and for the children
They’ve
fun playing and maybe we help them to learn something useful
With
the games we’ve think (“crab race” and “continue drawing”)
the kids can improve their aptitude of work in teams
The
disadvantages:
-
Maybe some kids get angry and it cause conflict
-
It can happen that the children don’t understand the things we mean and we’ve to change the activity along the way
-
In the games which the physical movement is needed someone could get hurt
We
want them to feel like the other children. They may have a
disability, but that does not make them less fit or less loved.
We
also want to break they daily routine, make their week less boring
and with new things.
We
believe it is important that they have fun with these activities.
We
believe it is very important to get used to dealing with people who
have a disability. Nowadays, many people avoid them for this same
reason, they are afraid because they are unaware of these diseases.
How
I said, They are people like you and me, and I think we should
integrate them a little more into society.
After
thinking it, in one hand we think this experience isn’t appropriate
for us right now for the next reason:
We’re
in bachiller, we’ve a lot of exams this months and this project
takes a lot of out time away
In
addition, the Asprodisis association is far of our home, so we depend
of our parents to arrive to the organization.
In
the other hand, in the future we think it can be very worthwhile for
us for these reasons:
It’s
very interesting and useful treat people who we aren’t used passing
the time with
We
need to have more free time to spend in activities like this because
it takes and needs time.
It’d
be a good chance to do something different.
Basically, we
have two important points in that:
-
Help to integrate them in the society and break stereotypes
-
Protect and improve the quality of the person with a intellectual disability and of their families
We’re
going to perform the activities and while the children will be
playing, two supervisors of Asprodisis will help us with any problem
that we could have
First
of all, we’ve thinked about do the project in six- seven days,
spending one or two hours every day.
It's free cause’ they lend us the
necessary material.
although
we will need it.
White
papers
Colored
pencils
Digital
device to listen to music
| Kerchief / shawl |
We
only will know it after do the project, but if the kids have fun,
we’ll be happy. Anyway, we’ll ask to our supervisors about the
project and what they think.

Project by Sergio Reyes and Salvador García
Our main goal is to have a good time with them and do some activity, like do crafts and sing.
One of the first thing that we need to do is take volunteering seriously and do the best we can. And we will sing with them and do crafts like a Wooden Santa Claus.
Salvador and Sergio and also other classmates. And we will try to complete our objectives and goals.
We will go there some Christmas days in the morning. At least 10 hours, and if we have the chance, we will try to be more hours.
Nothing, we don't need to buy anything.
We will talk with you if we have any doubts. Also we can talk with the other volunteering to make sure we are making all right.
If we see that they enjoy the activities we will know that we help them.
Project by Jasmine Hulland and Ana Gil
First of all we are going
to know the patients that we will be helping.
We
will paint and make some crafts with them and help them with any problem they have.
We think it's a great experience for us because we can help people who
need help especially
in the Christmas Holidays. Also we feel better because we are helping people
who really need it. And it's our first time as a volunteer, and we will learn
new things.
Our main goal is to have a good time with them and do some activity, like do crafts and sing.
One of the problems is
that they need a lot of a attention because they are people with mental
problems like
Alzheimer's disease.
Also
is our first time so we don't know if we are ready to do it well.
They
are people of all ages and their gender is irrelevant.
They
have mental problems like Alzheimer's disease.
They usually play some games
such as bingo, sing, listen to music, watch TV, and other activities. Also,
they usually go to other residences. One of the first thing that we need to do is take volunteering seriously and do the best we can. And we will sing with them and do crafts like a Wooden Santa Claus.

Project by Jasmine Hulland and Ana Gil
First we are going to introduce ourselves and get to know the patients that we will be helping.
We are going to talk to the patients, and help them all we can, show them all our support, let them know that they can talk to us about whatever, and whenever, we will be there for them when they need us, just like a friend.
It is a positive experience for us to learn from because we are able to volunteer for people that are having a ruff time and need our help, especially in the Christmas Holidays.
Our main objective is to help improve the patients quality of life that are affected by this disease.
They are people that are going through hard stages in their lives and aren´t always going to want to talk to us or be in the mood. That is what we are there for, to make them feel better when they have low spirits.
We will be helping people of all ages and their gender is irrelevant. All the patients in “Ayuca” have cancer. We will be prepared to offer our help to whoever needs it.
We don´t know what type of activities we will be doing yet, but it definitely involves helping these people to express their feelings and have a good time with us.
We will be in contact the whole time so we keep on track and make sure we complete our objectives and goals of our project.
We will volunteer at “Ayuca” for 10 hours and if we have the chance, we will try to volunteer more hours.
It won´t cost us anything, of course our parents will pay for our transport to Ayuca because we are both from different villages in the Serrania de Ronda.
At the end of the project we will ask the patients if their spirits have gone up with our help. We will also ask them if we helped them in any other way.
PROYECT BY IKER GÁLVEZ, MEES JENNEKE AND ELENA MORENO
After our first visit to this nursing home, we realized that this people needed our help, they’re staying in this residence because they don’t have the resources to live happily and their families can’t help them either.
We think we can be very useful, we are more than happy to be there for them and help the nurses make this people’s life better, at least for a little while.
Yes of course, this old-age people are always gonna need help, no matter what. So we want to help right now, whenever we can. We hope that with this project we will encourage more people to help this cause and maybe even encourage ourselves to keep doing it.
1 Cover the needs of the interns of this residence.
2 Help the nurses.
3 Try to entertain them and make them have a good time.
4 Have a great time.
5 End this project with some memories and feelings
that we will never forget.
- The nurses will be happy with our work and would like us to come back.
- We will have a good feeling of accomplishment for helping making so many lives better.
- Hopefully we will have made a difference on the residence, a good one.
PROYECT BY MARINA GARCÍA, MARTA RUIZ AND MARIA PAN
Hello we are maria marina and marta and we are going to talk about our volunteering in ayuca.
Ayuca is an association to help for people who suffer cancer. They also help their relatives and friends.
- We believe that one problem is that it can affect us a lot to see people suffering from
this disease or that we feel we aren't prepared to help them, because we are too young
and we believe that we don't have enough experience to face it.
-We believe that the population has this disease as a taboo subject and we believe that
with these voluntary work we can see this with more normality
-Secondly we want to help this association with our small contribution
-Also, we know ourselves more.
We did not have many problems, only a child who did not know how to skate and we helped him.
The aid in ayuca is destined to people who suffer cancer and their relatives.
We are going to perform different activities:
- Crafts with small children.
- Christmas workshop.
- Go to events to raise money.
- Carry out charity races.
We still don't know who will perform each task, but we would like to do the activities together.
As we have said before, we are going to our first voluntary work ten of December , and
we don't know any more, because it is too early to know all our voluntary work calendar.
This voluntary work will be for 10 hours.
We won't spend money on this voluntary work, because we will try to contribute with our
help giving love and attention to these people.
The process is controlled by Lucía, who informs us by Whatsapp with the activities and schedules.
We know we have done a successful job when we feel that people are more happy thanks to our help and makes us feel useful.
PROJECT BY MARIPAZ AND NEREA
1.Our project is going to make a nativity. It consists of a craft to paint María, José and Jesús.
The elderly will paint the structure of the nativity scene and there, they will have to paste the different elements. We will put a rope to hang it wherever they want.
3.The aim is to spend time with them to keep them entertained and try to make them smile.
2.One of the problems could be if one of them gets sick and the ambulance has to come. Another problem would be if they don’t want us to be there.
There are people from 18 months to 100 years old.
There are both male and female.
Some of people who go to Catalina's facilities have Alzheimer.
We don’t know yet what to expect from this experience.
They have almost physiotherapy every day. They do crafts, play games like bingo and they watch TV.
Our purpose is to entertain them and spend a good time with them.
They visit other residences to see former colleagues who were before in Catalina.
Because it’s something new that we want to experience
The first thing to do is treat them well and take volunteering seriously.
They visit other residences to see former colleagues who were before in Catalina.
Because it’s something new that we want to experience
We will be some christmas days going to be with them some hours in the morning
We will put multimedia content when we do the volunteering.
PROJECT BY ISRAEL GARCÍA , MARÍA DE LA TORRE AND JAVIER GUTIÉRREZ.
The
purpose of this project is to participate in the help of people
suffering from cancer in even helping their relatives or friends. To
fulfill this purpose, you only need to put effort, patience and
sweetie.
If
it's worth it, it's a job that fills your soul, makes you feel good
about yourself, it will always be worthwhile to help others.
We
must make people who suffer from this disease feel good, either
because a person close to them has it or because a person has already
passed it and still needs help.
We
can find ourselves with the problem that a person collapses before us
and with the problem that a person with whom we have had treatment
dies.
Our
help can be received: sick people, people who have suffered from this
disease and who are already cured and people who have a relative or
acquaintance who suffers from cancer.
We
must have patience, demonstrate to the person with whom we are
speaking, that we are there to help him in everything we can, so he
can see that he is not alone. One way to achieve this is to ask him
what he wants, if he wants to talk about cancer or talk about
something else, if he wants to go for a walk, see a movie, etc.
The
work will be done by María de la Torre, Javier Gutiérrez and Israel
García along with the other volunteers of the AYUCA ASSOCIATION
It will take our Christmas holidays and maybe part of the second evaluation. We have to do almost 10 hours of volunteer.
Economically, it will be for free, helping people cost nothing but effort. But for sure it will be a personal challenge
The project will be tracked sharing out our progress with the teacher and our family.
Seeing that we have been able to make people feel good and to feel good about ourselves.
PROJECT BY GEMA, ELENA AND MELISSA.
In our project, we want to do a volunteering with a scout association, the pleyades.
It's a good opportunity to learn values and help to others.
The goals that we want to do are: have a great time with children, stop being so shy and let off our problems.
The problems can be that we are too shy, not being able to control the kids and not feeling confortable there.
This people are kids from three years and older, male and female.
We are going to do a presentation, individual competicions diferent team sports and all kind of workshops.
In the painting workshop, we want to paint our own T-shirt. So we will have a souvenir with those children.
In the cooking worshop, we will do different desserts and we will choose the best.
In the magic workshop, we will have to learn magic tricks and we will teach the children how do magic.
We think that each will go with different groups, and we will rotate for the groups.
Our project will be of 10 hours and we will go in january and february.
This project doesn't cost money, only a lot of eagerness, effort and dedication.
We will inform to the teacher about our project in this asociation.
We will know that we will have get, because we will be happy and successful of our work.
PROJECT BY IRENE AND MARÍA.P
In our volunteering we are going to help and make the time of the elderly
as pleasant as possible.
This is our index. These are the points we are going to talk about in our project.
How the project will be done? What we are going to talk about?
We have add some information about the asylum.
We are going to answer some questions about how, when and where will be the project done.
We are going to need a plan of what we will do, the place where we will work, some materials to do crafts, a little help from the workers from there and, of course, energy!

Yes, because in Christmas we have enough time to volunteer and help them. And always is worthwhile help anybody!
We want to accomplish our goals at the same time we learn from this great experience.
We might face some problems, like elderly people doesn't like us, we don't have transport to go there...
The people who will be receiving our help will be the old people and the workers from the asylum.
Make their time as pleasant as possible with our company.
Learn everything we can about them and their lives.
See if what we do is liked by the elderly people.
Being always kind with them and offer our help always.
The two students involved in this project (Irene and María). Also, the workers from the asylum will help us at the same time we help them, and our parents, who will be the one that carry us.
Our project will take a minimum of 10 hours and we will try to do the project in the last two weeks of december.
We will write down all the activities we do with them and record them doing their activities and the things that they do in their normal life.
Despite the displacement, we are not going to spend any money at all because everything we need is already in the asylum, so it is a free and worthwile project.
This is the last and the hardest question: how will we knoe our project has benn successful?.
We thought that it will be if we:
1) make the old people happier.
2) facility the work of the people in there.
3) have learnt through this way.
Thanks for your attention.
PROJECT BY ALBA, CLAUDIA AND PACO
Our analysis DAFO include the devilities, the threat, the fortress and the opportunyties:
-We must be careful when dealing with the elderly since we can hurt their feelings.
-The possible existence of disinterest on both sides.
-We are young with a desire to learn and help those who don't mind spending a little time in these activities.
-The oportunity to socialize wiht elderly, see their point of view regarding certain things and be able to help then as much as possible.
The project focuses on the help of elderly people with different degrees of
Alzheimer and is purpose is to help these people givimg them a little of our
time and bringing us in return the satisfaction of having helped them as much
as possible so that they were not in emotional decline and dissease is not so heavy.
Quite, since we think that the simple fact of helping in any area however
boring it may be is always a good option worthy of being made in addition
to the fact not only the aid recives a reward but that the person who
helps is satisfied with having helped him.
We have five objetives clearly defined:
-Specific: To make them feel loved.
-Fixed: Spend time with the elderly.
-Realistic: Perform or do various activities with erderly people.
_-Time limit: 10 hours the volunteering in the morning.
We are going to meet people who have difficulty remembering their own names or even
not remembering their famiy, so we will have to make a greater effort to help them.
We will mainly help all or almost all the assistants of the users in the center, mainly to
organize activities and of course some more volunteers from the center.

Basically what you have to do is deal with elderly people who have Alzheimer and as
pleasant as possible and try not feel useless or with little desire to follow.
It will not cost us anything because the center and the nurses puts all the materials we
just have to put our effort and our love.

We think that Christmas is very important for lots of people, meeting family and friends.
Happiness and the feeling of belonging appear everywhere However, some people haven’t
got a family or someone who goes to visit them and the sense of loneliness could grow.
Therefore, this moment may be one of the best to volunteer in our opinion.

Therefore, this moment may be one of the best to volunteer in our opinion.
We can prepare a lot of goals:
- Help the Little Sisters of the Poor to get some money. We don’t know how much
they need but we’ll try to do our best - Make old people feel better. They have a routine life and we want they to have fun
and do some activities that they would not do without us. - Teach them something. With some works we desire that they lean a bit about
music, some basic concept.

Our principal problems will probably be:
- The communication between the Little Sisters of the Poor and us, because they
don’t have mobile phone or other social media, so we only can communicate with them
with e-mail. - The money collection is going to be the last week before Christmas. This week
is also our last week in school so we won’t probably go - We don’t know how the old-people will react to our assistance: some people will not
want to participate, others will not be able... - There are some old-people who have physical problems: Some need wheelchairs,
walking frames and moreover nobody can’t do a continuous physical activity. They
aren’t able to run, jump or squat and we should plan things to do inside.
We are going to help people who have more than sixty years it might be a challenge
because of her movement or other facts like her mind. The gender is irrelevant for us so
we are going to help everyone who want our help. They usually have a bad movement for
that we can’t do anyphysical activity this could be a problem if we want to do with them
any activity, but we don’t plan do activities which involve movement. Even they do some
trips during the year they prefer to stay at the old people’s home this isn’t a problem for us
because we don’t plan to do any trip. They probably will be interesting about what we will do
because they normally don’t have this kind of activities.
- We also will work with the Little Sisters of the Poor, a nuns organitation. Since it was
founded, this institution, it has grown around the world. There are houses in 31 different
countries. The mother house is in France where there are 44 house. There are more
house in Spain, Portugal, England… Additionally there are house in Africa, Asia,
America and Oceania. In fact, there 26 house in Spain. The nuns in Ronda are a group
of old women who lives permanently in the nursing home but they could be assigned to
another house. They all are catholic and devotee, they are passionate about God. They
are charming and polite and feel like to work with us.The nuns and old people have a very planned timetable. There is a time to have
breakfast, lunch and dinner. But they also have morning activities and, in the evening,
they participate in different church activities. The nuns sometimes prepare a
PowerPoint where they explain some saints’ lifes. We think they will like this project
because they want the old people to be entertained and have an enjoyable time.
- Right, but What are we planning to do?
Well, we’ll try to
- Helps Little Sisters of the Poor to collect money in “La Cañada”. This institution doesn’t
receive any economical aid from the State so they live by the charity. If the other group
also comes we should talk about if we should do it the same day or who is going to go
which day. - We also know that older people need company. We are going to prepare some pastime:
- A little concert: One of us, Óscar, can play the clarinet so we have thought he
can performance and, if we have enough time, we wish explain something about
the works or about music in general. Never is late to learn! In addition we think
that the other group could participate in this performance. For example Iker plays
the piano. Then we should look for one or more scores, and prepare a little
presentation for them about the music. - Keeping company: We would prepare a snack for them to make their afternoon
a bit more special. Other pursuit could be arrange some games with them. Or we
can just to spend time with them, they should feel listened and understanded.
- Our original plan was to record the nursing home people. They would explain
their childhood, how has Ronda change since they were younger… It would be an
new source of knowledge of our town but, we actually ignore if they would agree
and if they prefer do other activities. If we do that we would have to prepare a list
of question, look up a camera and ask which old people would participate. - We have planned that the old people cook some crêpes.
We’re planning to make a musical concert and a presentation of basic concept of music
before it, we probably will do it with the other group so this part isn’t prepare at all.
Also we are planning to cook crepes with the old-people, first of all tell to them how to
cook the crepes and after that we are going to cook the crepes with them, but there is a
problem because most of the old-people have a bad movement so this won’t be easy.

Also, we are going to go to the Cañada to collect money for Little Sisters of the Poor, so we
probably go each one with a nun to ask for money, however we don’t know how they collect
the money but they probably teach us how to do it.

This calendar isn’t definitely because we need to check the availability of the nuns because
they probably will be busy for the high number of old people they attend and the low number
they are.
Even our own availability, because we could have lots of exams in a week or one of us could
get sick. But the days will probably be:

to the old people.
3 January: We are going to cook crepes with the old people and teach them to cook it.
This project will be practically free because if we are going to play a piece of music, the
instruments are ours. It will only cost a little food ingredients around 3 euros or less per
person. We are going to try to help the old people using our time and not our money.

To check if we are doing the job well, we can do several things:
- We can ask Maria de los Ángeles if she liked our activity.
- An important signal is to see if the old people have entertained themselves or
if they have had fun. - And to have conversations with the teacher to know how to improve the project
or to explain new ideas.
And finally, if the old people like it, we can say that the progress of the project is good.

consider nuns’ opinions, They know how to work with older men and women and their view is
very important for us. If we make videos with them. other way to know if this has worked is
giving this information to a historian and as them if it is relevant.
PROJECT BY MARTA, MARÍA AND ALBA
We´re going to talk about our project, the project that will make a difference in our lives as well as in
somebody else's life, at least we hope so. We´re going to collaborate with Ayuca association.
somebody else's life, at least we hope so. We´re going to collaborate with Ayuca association.
Throughout the presentation, we will tell you what could become our own,
weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities.
And now let's describe our project and each of its phases that have
already been designed.
already been designed.
We would like to be able to do a games workshop, mainly aimed at children with cancer or
who have a family member in that situation. These games would help you to disconnect a bit, enjoy,
have fun and learn a little English with games like pictureka , simon says and a lot more.
who have a family member in that situation. These games would help you to disconnect a bit, enjoy,
have fun and learn a little English with games like pictureka , simon says and a lot more.
In this plan we would like to make a small storytelling workshop, create little stories with the kids.
Encourage them to use the imagination and to work as a team,
skills whose development is very important nowadays.
We would like to try to do this workshop in English, but it depends on the age of the participants.
So we'll probably do it in Spanish.

So we'll probably do it in Spanish.
With this idea we pretend to entertain the little ones doing crafts, drawings, etc.
With that they could improve concentration, creativity, spatial thinking as well as logic.
With that they could improve concentration, creativity, spatial thinking as well as logic.
The main purpose for us is to be able to learn from boys and girls, adults, people of all ages and sex
who suffer in some way the consequences of Cancer .
who suffer in some way the consequences of Cancer .
- Help and support those people as much as possible.
- Make them have fun with us and us with them.
- And finally discover another kind of reality that generally is unaware because of trivial life.
We have found two problems for developing this project :
This activity would have to be carried out in periods
where the students have many exams, class work, homework ... And it's a bit difficult to
get free time.
This is another problem, we don’t find much free time to devote to these activities,
much less for our own extracurricular activities.
We also realized that we would do the volunteering project in the best age,
because we are mature enough to be able to reach the conclusion of If this experience
has been a gratifying and if we want to continue helping and contributing to
the association after a process of discovering , thinking , etc.
because we are mature enough to be able to reach the conclusion of If this experience
has been a gratifying and if we want to continue helping and contributing to
the association after a process of discovering , thinking , etc.
- Help and support children in the organization.
- Work one of the most important languages in a playful and fun way for them
- Get used to teamwork.
- Help them to make use of the imagination, the logic and the sense of the orientation.
The main problem (apart from exams and our no life) that would be presented to us would
be the lack of space.
Exams: to manage time, that time we don't have.
This project is more child-oriented, however people of all ages can participate if they so desire.
A lot of things should be prepared. We must look for the handicrafts we want to do along with the material needed to do so. Also a couple of simple stories to spare for the storytelling workshop and some possible games for the Games Workshop.
The main idea is to distribute the work equitably, it would be the fairest. We want to do the three workshops at the same time so that the small ones can go rotating and try all. For this we have divided the workshops between us. Marta would be in charge of the Games, Alba of the storytelling workshop and Mary of the craft workshop.
In theory the project is designed to carry it out for about an hour and a half.
The children would spend half an hour in each workshop.
The children would spend half an hour in each workshop.
Maybe what will cost the materials to do the crafts, but we will try to bring it from the house.
The purpose is to make it free.
The purpose is to make it free.
We will know that we have been successful with the smiles of the children, but, above all,
with the evaluation we will ask of the psychologist and the social workers of the Organization.
with the evaluation we will ask of the psychologist and the social workers of the Organization.
And that's all.Thank you for your attention, we hope you've enjoyed the presentation as much as we did.

NEXT PROJECT BY...
MIRIAM GONZÁLEZ
AND
BEATRIZ VERGARA
Good morning, we are Miriam and Beatriz and we are going to carry out a benefit project. By roots association we are going to help Muslims women with Spanish lessons because they need it and they can´t afford it. The teacher who will help us is Jose Luis, the man who created this programme three years ago.
Well! Let´s go to explain the principal points of the project. The points are:
(1) Dafo analysis,
(2) Goals of the project,
(3) Know if it is a worthwhile project and why,
(4) identify the problems,
(5) Kind of people who receive our help…
…(6) The activities and their organization,
(7) Who will do what,
(8) A project calendar,
(9) How much will it cost,
(10) How will be the progress tracked,
(11) The success of the project.
In the Dafo analysis we can find: the weakness, menaces, strength and chances.
The weakness is that we have different languages, so at first it could be a problem.
The menace is that they can’t have a permanent timetable because they have to look after their kids, therefore they may not assist to some lessons.
The strength is that we are women and it is necessary to can give lessons to them, because their culture doesn’t allow treat with men.
The chances are that if they know Spanish, the will find a job and they could help their kids with homework.
Our purpose is, carry out benefit to immigrants who come to Spain without any resources giving them Spanish lessons with activities. By this way we will contribute to equality since not everybody have the same chances.
Obviously it is necessary for the progress of the world. At first there are a lot of refugees that come to our country. In addition they can’t communicate with Spanish people and they can’t afford Spanish lessons.
We are going to work with Muslims women. They are about 20-40 years old. These women don’t know write in Spanish and only some of them can Speak fluently. They have a different way of thinking due to their religion. Their habits are look after to their kids and spend their time at home. They would be interesting in our project because they need it to build a better future for them and for their kids.
The activities we have planned are:
1. (Make a curriculum). It is very importantfor them to make a curriculum to find a job.
2. (Learning basic words of Spanish). We want to explain basic words like numbers, colours or daily things.
3. (Oral and writing test). Finally the last days we will know how much they have learnt.
We will explain the activities and each one of us will answer the questions and help them personally while they are doing the activities. Both will correct the test. They will not have homework because they have to be responsible of the house.
This project will cost nothing because the material that we need are provide by association and we are aware of the bad economic situation of this people.
About time we are going to give lessons during six hours in Christmas time, but if they need more lessons we are ready for help out.
The objects we want to reach are:
1.(Women speak Spanish fluently) So women could hold their own in society.
2.(Learn to write). Most of them have difficulties to write.
3.(Make a curriculum). They can find a job and not depend of their husbands.
4.(Contribute to their formation). We want to give a new life to refugees because they come here in bad conditions.
If our principal plan fails we have other solution, a plan B.
This plan would carry out if we haven’t got place to give the class. We have spoken with the cultural center and they allow us take a room for the class. If they haven’t got computers to do the curriculum the cultural center will lend it to them.
We have discussed about the work the previous days of the performance. Also we have used linkers to improve our project .In general we have practiced a lot to reach the plus one.
We hope that the project will be successful but we have to wait to do it. Although this project was created three years ago and it was successful. Why with us no?

NATALIA ZAMUDIO

This project could be summed up in one word, "ecological", which will consist of creating an ecological garden free of insecticides and chemical fertilizers, collecting our own vegetables and teaching other people how to create theirs. The main purpose is to change the point of view of many people and take them on a better way that benefits the environment and ourselves.

Currently, fruits and vegetables sold to us in stores are cultivated with insecticides and chemical fertilizers. These substances enter into our body when we eat these foods, which can create various problems in our body, including cancer. Another worrying situation is the pollution of the ozone layer. these insecticides contribute damaging our ozone layer and the environment in which we live.

Through this project i must achieve the creation of the organic garden, collect the fruits of that garden and teach other people to create their own.

The only problem I find for the project is the place. for better results we would need arable land in the country side. In my case, that is not a problem, but I know that for many people it is, so a solution would be to go to an urban garden or create it with pots in your own home.

This project is aimed to anyone interested in changing their lifestyle and others lifestyle positively. No matter your age or gender, everyone can do it.

to do list
-to buy seeds of various seasonal vegetables.
-acquire natural fertilizer
-we also need a water hose or a watering can and the cultivation tools.
-The first thing is to prepare the land, add the natural fertilizer, remove it and make squares to distribute the seeds in an organized way.
-do the holes and put the seeds. then we cover them.
-at last we water until the dirt is quite wet.
At least once a week you have to go to water and keep track of the growth of the plant.
When i have finished with my garden, explain to another person how i had grown the vegetables and here is her/his turn.

proyect calendar.
the project will take minimum until March, i cant know the exact time.

the only expense for our project will be the seeds (a bag of seeds = 1 euro approx) and the natural fertilizer can be obtained free in a farm.

My expectations for this project are very positive, with perseverance and interest everything is possible.

SCOUT
PROJECT PLAN: GROUP SCOUT PLEYADES RONDA
The fun of a child is essential. As you can see in this picture, this is the symbol of our association which was created by Francisco Rojas and whose main goal is to achieve the happiness of the youngest. We are Aida, Maria and myself Abigail, and our project is about letting you know have our association works.
Scout is a big association around the world which was created in England in 1907, and we have a representative group in Ronda called “Group Scout Pleyades Ronda”. This one was created 10 years ago and there are around 70 members.
-Weakness: They need more instructors, besides neighborhood excluded from society.
-Menace: People don ́t want to go to these neighborhoods because they are afraid of junkies who live there.
-Fortress: There is a good relationship between people who live there, moreover they have a lot of open projects.
-Chance: For young children from 4 to 18 years old, we have a lot of helpful projects in these discriminated neighborhoods.
On the one hand, we are going to do activities as spending time together on Sundays
or going for trips and camping. On the other hand, our purpose is to contribute to have nice days with other people and children, also we want to relate to other people.
The identified problem is that they need more instructors, for this reason we think that we can help them.
Our main goal is to have a good Christmas with these children to see them very happy. Above all we want to help these poor neighborhoods.
The problem which we will face to it will be related with people who we don ́t know. As a result we are going to be the nicest as possible. Another problem could be that we don ́t know how to teach the youngest but we will play with them and will spend nice days together.
Children who will have our help are from 4 to 7 years old and they are called “castores”. Another one is called “manada” who are children from 9 to 11. Those from 12 to 14 are called “tropa” and the oldest one from 15 to 16 are called “pioneros” as I am. The gender of the children is irrelevant, everybody is welcome to our association. Our habits are going camping and playing together. They are interested in our proposals because they have a lot of fun and spend great time with us.
We will play with children in group. On the one hand we choose those games is which they will run and do physical exercises with their instructor help, of course. On the other hand castores, manadas, tropas and pioneros make the games, the instructor task is mainly to take care of them.
In our project Abigail will be the manager and she will teach María and me how the groups work. Therefore we work together, but with different ages. We are volunteers, consequently we don ́t have to be paid.
We are going to spend time in Christmas and some Sunday so we will have finished our project in our free time.
We aren ́t very good at English, but we have tried improve it so we have had a hard work for a long time. We have asked for help to our families to try finishing this presentation as
well as possible as we have been able to speak to our teacher at the weekend.
From our point of view, our project will be very nice and funny. Helping children is wonderful. We feel very satisfied with this presentation and with our work in the project.

HERMANITAS DE LOS POBRES
We have had some problems with our project, considering that our main idea was to do this with ONCE organization, accompanying blind people to practice some sport, by running with them or maybe teaching some self defense, because in our group, one of us, Ismael, is a black belt first Dan of Karate and he can help with that.
But sadly this project couldn´t become a reality at the end, because blind people from Ronda are mainly elderly people, and they were not really interested in the plan.
Therefore, we got our plan B going. We thought that we could go to a home for elderly people here in Ronda, called “Hermanitas de los Pobres”. Here we would help the staff taking care of the elders, spending time with them and serving them dinner too.
We could make this plan a reality, and it was awesome!

ERRIZAS
ARBORIZATION
We are Abraham Ayala, Francisco Aja and Javier Aguilar; and our planned project is about mantaining and taking care of the vegetation in Errizas.
- REASON FOR THE PROJECT.
· PRESERVE THE
NATURE OF ERRIZAS.
· CREATE
CONSCIOUSNESS IN VOLUNTEERS.
Our goal with this project is to take care of nature but also and spread the importance of
taking care of nature as well.
We want to show how to interact positively with the ecosystems sourrounding us by making an example and doing it ourselves.
- GENERAL OBJECTIVE.
· PLANT NEW TREES
IN THE PLACE.
What we intend to do with this project is take care of some problems in Errizas,
we want to stop the vegetation from disappearing due to droughts and the little care given to it.
For that we thought a way to to help aliviate these problems.
- MATERIAL.
· SHOVEL.
· WATER.
· SEEDS.
The general objective is to replant so the vegetation isn't completly lost.
More specificallly it would be ideal to conserve native species.
For this we will need
basic planting equipment: A shovel, a watering can and either the seeds or some sapplings
of the plants we will be replanting.
- THE RESULT WE WANT TO
ACHIEVE.
· CLEAN THE AREA.
· SOW MORE THAN
TEN TREES.
· TEACHING VOLUNTEERS TO PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT
The way we will accomplish this is the following.
First we will look around the area and get rid of any garbage. The we will replant as many trees and plants as we can, our objective is at least 10.
